Petition is addressed to: Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
As a collective of Algerian students, we were taken by surprise by the announcement of the Polish Consulate on the 6th of August 2024. The statement is relevant to student visa applicants stating that starting from August 11, 2024, the Consulate will require all national student visa applicants to submit a recognition of their Algerian baccalaureate diploma. Failure to present this document will result in an automatic visa denial.
The procedure for obtaining this recognition remains unclear, and many relevant Education Boards (kurator oświaty) have not responded to applicants' inquiries. Furthermore, the process typically takes around a month under normal circumstances. It is expected to be further delayed due to the anticipated increase in demand for recognition.
Reason
If the above-mentioned declaration is not temporarily suspended until the upcoming academic intake, 100% of applicants who apply after August 11, 2024, will face automatic denial. This would make an end to their aspirations for higher education due to an inconvenient introduction of the recognition procedure.
As a collective of Algerian students, we submit this petition to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and to all relevant governmental bodies with the authority to address and resolve this issue.

Dear Supporters,
I am thrilled to report that our petition has already gathered 145 signatures in just three days. We are currently at 97% of our goal, and we need just one final push to reach 150 signatures.
While reaching 150 signatures is a significant milestone, I believe our cause deserves even greater support. I urge you to share this petition with as many people as possible who might be impacted by the new recognition law imposed by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Your continued support is crucial in amplifying our message and driving positive change. Thank you for your commitment and efforts.

Why people sign
We try to transfer our situation to the ministry, we did all the efforts for get te acceptation from the University, we deserve to take a fair chance to present our projects
