Predkladateľ petície tvrdí, že rumunské ministerstvo pre európske fondy bolo spolu s niekoľkými ďalšími hospodárskymi subjektmi zapletené do prípadu podvodu s finančnými prostriedkami EÚ v Mehedinti v Rumunsku. Ďalej uvádza, že hoci podal trestné oznámenie v tejto veci, rumunský úrad prokurátora pre boj proti korupcii neprijal žiadne opatrenia.
