Petition is addressed to: Taiwanese government authorities

Recently, the chairman of Taiwan's opposition party was arrested on what we believe to be trumped up charges. We believe that the law enforcement agencies of Taiwan's ruling government have failed to provide a clear explanation for the Chairman's arrest, and although the investigation is supposed to remain confidential, it appears that certain media outlets have been constantly leaked information that has enabled them to attack the Chairman. For this reason, a petition has been initiated calling on the Taiwanese government authorities to strictly abide by the law and protect the human rights of the opposition party chairman.

Reason

The world community should take note of the current state of justice in Taiwan and support the Taiwanese people in upholding human rights, the rule of law and a just social system.
