Deleted sentence with the word “genocide”.
Neue Begründung:
I am a Ukrainian woman. The people of Ukraine and my country have been attacked by Russia. A real genocide of the Ukrainian nation is happing just now. Thousands of civilians have died, millions had to leave their homes, the cost of damage already exceeds billions of dollars. The Russian invaders are destroying our houses, bombarding our hospitals and kindergartens, killing our children, raping our women. Is that enough to explain why it is important to me?

Thank you for your petition! We also hope for a fast and peaceful end of Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression on Ukraine. Seeing millions of civilians suffer is difficult to bear. However, it is not appropriate to call the crimes commited in Ukraine a "real genocide", since there are no plans visible with intent to systematically destroy, in whole or in part, the Ukrainian people (definition of genocide see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocide). Please remove this sentence.
