English:
Dear supporter of the petition!
With the beginning of the European Soccer Championship 2020 ("Fußball EM 2020") I have temporarily paused my activities to spread the petition.
That means: Because of the current UEFA Euro 2020 I currently have not spread any information about the petition anymore.
I don't know how it is with you, but I was already a bit exhausted because I hardly found time for other activities.
Regarding the news reports of the last days I want to inform also about the following "announcement" on the part of the Federal Government which would "theoretically" mean we were successfully with the petition:
The APA (Austria Press Agency) writes:
"With 22 July, the registration obligation in the catering industry and at events is to end. According to APA information, the waiver of this possibility of contact tracing is said to have been a rather controversial point in the coalition. In general, the ÖVP and the Greens haggled over the opening measures until the very end, so the press conference started with some delay."(automatically translated from german)
apa.at/news/hope-for-fast-normal-summer-after-corona-restrictions-2/
The email today is purely informative so that you know "What's next for the petition or the planned parliamentary citizens' initiative".
So I am not sending this email because I think you need to get more e-mails^^.
The reason of this e-mail was I was ready to send you the parliamentary citizens' initiative" to fill out when we reach 500 supporters.
But that was still under the condition that nothing changes until then about the mandatory registration.
Now what a federal government announces in the media and what it decides are two different things.
Of course that is positive if this outcome is going to be true.
But to cancel the petition now from my side would be fatal.
Why this is so: On openpetition.eu, if possible, no petition should be created twice.
So if we would decide: Super petition is closed, goal achieved.
I would have done that quite gladly, because I really like to think in numbers. And I would prefer to have an average of 10 people a day having signed the petition over 1 or 2 people.
But:
Then we might have a problem later on:
If there is ever again a mandatory registration in the Gastronomy in Austria (data collection and an unfree Gastronomy again) and all the restrictions, then it would be difficult to speak up against it, because we would have to start again completely from zero.
Because the summer afters this years (2022) will certainly come aswell.
And as they say "trust is good, but control is better".
So I leave open to each of you, whether he/she revokes the petition support in the meantime and then if necessary again sign again or keep his support online here in between on standby.
So now you know my decision: We extend the petition at least until 2022 and I will do so on the 26th of June.
(I write you that so that no one has the feeling he/she has been deceived because it says the petition ends with 27.06).
In any case, we all (including you if someone else wants to take over the petition) have already created a base to be able to turn at any time to the parliament because 462 Austrians know the petition now already.
I would support any petitions to counter the several measurements including the mandatory registration if anybody of you starts one one day.
The goal of this petition was and remains however: One may restrict our civil liberties.
That was a decisive motive for my decision: We will let the petition continue until summer 2022!
I'm just telling you and this is not meant to be a comparison: In the USA after "9/11" the liberties of citizens were also restricted immensely.
Think none of us wants to experience something like in the U.S. and also not the restrictions again which came into force since the pandemic.
As long as we do not know what will happen next in Austria, it is good that we citizens have platforms like openpetition and others where we can share common ideas and goals and work to realize them even if the politicians should have completely different ones.
So we can quickly network and if necessary a parliamentary citizen initiative that overrides mandatory registration in 2022!
I think the petition and especially how you have eagerly informed friends, relatives, acquaintances, Internet contacts, etc.has contributed to the fact that this restrictions were lifted.
Some weeks ago on the net I already read on completely different channels e.g. Twitter noticeable resistance against the mandatory registration in gastronmy, the Austrians have again more dared to take position to uncomfortable measurments being decrees or laws and also bugging government members with more critical questions even stating facts about this decree and the mandatory registration in general and its validity.
I thank you for the great support this year!
Let us remain vigilant!

As the saying goes already the old romans knewit : "Repetitio est mater studiorum. = repetition is the mother of study/learning. Rote learning must be demonstrated because successful learning means experiencing behavioural change.
Therefore, once again my recommendations on how best to spread the petition (with a small change)
Dear supporters and those who want to become supporters!
Petition link in case anyone (not seen) there is also a short url:
openpetition.eu/!ztdmy
Of course you can also create tinyurl, rebrandly, bitly short links to the petition page and other pages.
The following additions still exist:
Down on the right half of the page, directly under "Downloads" you will find:
1.)Flyer with tear-off tabs ("Abriss-Aushangzettel") (printable).
This contains
* QR code (especially handy, because when you scan it, you land on the petition link directly).
* Demolition notice,
which can be placed for example on
advertising pillars (where one finds messages and search announcements of missing persons/animals).
could fasten.
which you can, for example put on wooden part of a power pole, lanterns, street signs (e.g. traffic lights if wide enough) (where you can sometimes find messages and search notices of missing persons / pets)
could attach.
Whether you use glue, "Tixo" or "U-Hakerl", staple(fastener) / staple is freely up to you.
The main thing is not to stick anything over from others or where to hang where it becomes dangerous for others( for example on traffic sign) or is prohibited (e.g. if poster advertising is prohibited)
2.)Signature list:
From now on, we will ignore the signature list, as this Petiton focuses on data protection. And it REALLY does NOT concern ANYONE who has signed on a list before.
Also:
If someone lands on the page of the petition beforehand, this person can read the news beforehand and what I think is very important: Your inputs!
But if you are good at convincing others, gladly!
If you can really scrape together 10 signatures within the family and each of them has no problem that others from the family see the names and dates, you can continue to do so, but I will refrain from using signature lists for the reasons mentioned. (It is also easier to focus on a few methods of distributing the idea of the petition).
3.) Experimental:
To give information about the petition in mailboxes, but I advise against it,
because just where certain people then write "no advertising" could be a bit intrusive (and then also the printer and paper costs for you that would certainly be a bit too expensive, but you can of course hang up demolition notes (you may have to ask if that is ok atleast when you ask in a supermarket or university they should give you a go).
I trust in your good judgement of character and your knowledge :-).
4.) If you are a restaurateur put the demolition notice in the shop window or wherever in the restaurant.
I trust in your good knowledge of human nature ;-).
Two possibilities for websites and blogs:
5.)
On this petition at the very bottom there is an item "Tools for spreading the petition.".
Here you will find a widget that you can put in:
your website
your blog
your blog.
By means of a generatable code snippet.
Please do not forget because of the GRPD for websites, the two-line under the point "INFORM THE VISITORS IN YOUR PRIVACY DECLARATION ABOUT THE USE OF THE OPENPETITION WIDGET" to copy and on the data protection page of your page / blogs
(otherwise, you risk a warning).
6.) Directly below you will also find the possibility of embedding a banner on your own website via code snippet.
7.) In addition, I have you above as a picture of the QR code from the tear-off note attached because you can enter where as a photo or in profiles or can send on but also print.
8) and of course not to forget the classic word-of-mouth.
Thank you you are the best!
Let's get started again and see that the last two weeks still as many supporters of the petition as possible come together for the last 13 days before the big summer time begins!

For englisch readers: Englisch translation at the bottom.
Deutsch:
Was denkt ihr?
Liebe Grüße Benjamin aus Wien.
English:
At the moment we are slightly in sight of 500 signatures which I have chosen as a goal for the petition on Openpetition "Override mandatory registration! MAke our Gastronomy free again without data collecting!"
Unfortunately, however, the quorum is 18,000 signatures so that the Committee on Petitions continues to deal with the issue.
What can be done about this?
On the one hand, we need more time, because even in the best phase so far, there were 100 supporters a day for our idea.
In other words, this support would have remained unbroken had the quorum been reached after 180 days, i.e. 6 months.
So the 2 months I planned were clearly a miscalculation on my behalf.
Before we reach the deadline on June 27th, I have to decide whether we extend the remaining time for the petition.
I really didn't expect that we would have such stupid regulations and laws until the summer.
I didn't know about the 3Gs either.
I thought at least the registration requirement falls by summer at the latest.
Originally I even thought January 2021 this contact tracing stuff should be history...
So now we have the opposite, registration everywhere, its crazy I think.
Probably this petition is only one of the few that would be needed, it would even need more petitions of this kind!
Via my e-mail benjamin.heinrich@gmx.at feel free to share more ideas for at least our common idea for a free gastronomy again would collecting of personal data.
Of course, you can also start petitions yourself, if you enjoy it.
And if someone dares to bring this petition to the man or the woman I am all ears.
In over-enthusiastic delusion, I also announced 20 days ago that I want to reach at least 750 signatures otherwise stamp the petition.
Please help to spread our idea and if you think I should try it again later but with other methods and with a longer run time.
I am immediately ready to transfer the petition to someone equally interested, that's not so I get paid for it but it's fun I admit, maybe even too much ;-) !
I think we need atleast 1 year so the petition can grow to its full potential of supporters in Austria, since other successfull petitions also needet time to grow. What do you think?
Best regards Benjamin from Vienna.

In case of popular demand the deadline for the petition could be extended beyond 2021.
I will soon start looking potential successors to maintain/support the petition. Because an extension of the petition must take place before the deadline of 27 June.

Good news that I do not want to withhold from you!
I was recently in the process of attaching the tear-off tabs for the petition in various places.
Recently I even had a short in my state or birth Burgenland!
In Parndorf 2 flyers have been attached at different places.
I found that is easier than Eisenstadt or other places, and there is also a gastronomy that would boom in normal times.
However, there was not much going on in Parndorf I must say, which certainly has to do with the measures of the government on the other hand with the weather...
Had no time for shopping tour I had to hurry and chaotic as I am..read for your self.
It was my second time in Parndort I wasted one hour of my time just with the search for the designer outlet center...
I admit it was more a spontaneous vistied than a greatly organized one.
And I'm rather not so the person without a map or Google Maps to find my targets.
But hey, I got it right, even if I was then a maximum of 45 minutes in Parndorf at the outlet.
First and foremost I concentrated on Vienna because I'm here most of the time.
So in every district where there was no support for the petition I put at least one demolition notice with tear-off tabs.
The 1st district has up to 3 in three different places, districts 7 and 8 are included, as well as 10, 12, 14, 19 and 20.
Even if so far on Vienna 7, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 20 no support came that are nevertheless important districts because on the one hand many restaurants exist there on the other hand many people the districts mentioned and its good to have a most heterogeneous profile of the population for the petition as possible.
Next are parts of Lower Austria and Salzburg. Since in Salzburg the support is sparse. I know Burgenland also, but there I was after all already so its time for Salzburg aswell too add some flyerswith tear-off tabs....
And as I said, you can also DIY the tear-off tabs, see link:
www.openpetition.eu/at/pdf/abrisszettel/override-mandatory-registration-make-our-gastronomy-free-again-without-data-collecting
or sign on paper
(if you know people who want to support this rather handwritten):
www.openpetition.eu/at/pdf/unterschriftenformular/override-mandatory-registration-make-our-gastronomy-free-again-without-data-collecting
Let's see that the next 27 days as many signatures as possible come together and for that I need especially YOU!

Dear supporters and those who want to become supporters!
What's new?
So to the course of the petition, not much not a single Austrian news media has about our common idea. No daily newspaper, no television station or website.
That does not matter, reporting is not always only positive as you know.
I thought about writing a mail to one or the other radio station.
If someone of you coincidentally good connections to one can he me gladly mail me or try self.
Youn can find my e-mail here: www.openpetition.eu/at/petition/blog/override-mandatory-registration-make-our-gastronomy-free-again-without-data-collecting/7
You can ofcourse try that was a thought I had to call a radio-station and instead to wish for a song to be played tell about the petition shortly.
E.g. "I wish "Free gastronomy without mandatory registration"
please support the petition." And then say the moderator can now exceptionally choose the song himself this time.
That was one idea as part of guerilla marketing our idea.
I have considered if it would have been financially possible to print T-shirts aswell.
In my opinion they would be best colored white and the text rather short and clear.
No special layout would but with QR code.
This is how the back of such a T-shirt would have looked like:
"
Free gastronomy
QR code
≠ Data collecting
"
Of course, something like this is not possible on a small budget, and besides, there would have been couple of question remaining:
Who gets the t-shirts? First and foremost logical: makes sense if supporters get them, but since I don't know all nearly 400 of you that would have been logistically almost impossible.
We would have had to organize a meeting point. Which might not have been so smart. And smply handing them out to random people would have been a bit unfair.
And instantly open an online store or offer on a website well.
Could work, but I don't know much about online stores.
And I think even if then it should be free....
But if you have ideas on how this could be achieved (apart from the costs ...) then always gladly.
Just that you see I have really have done a bit brainstorming about possible stuff^^.

The COVID law in 2020 also brought a mandatory guest registration in the Austrian gastronomy.
This is to become necessary also when outdoor dining/al fresco (e.g.
pub garden, Austrian 'Schanigarten')!
At the moment the COVID-19 opening decree is in place.
We don't want an all-seeing (spying) state, contact tracing could not prevent the 2nd lockdown and it will not be able to prevent further lockdowns! Also compared to the mandatory registration that was in place in 2020, the date of birth will now also be checked. According to the COVID 19 - Opening Regulation (from May 19, 2021). In case of necessarity the host, operator of recreational facilities etc. must namely check personal data!
The National Council may decide...
the decree or the law on the mandatory registration(Registrierungspflicht) in the gastronomy shall be override immediately (at the latest at the beginning of summer 2021).
Neue Begründung: The outbreak of the Corona pandemic is terrible, we understand most of the measures taken by governments in the Western world to contain it!
On the other hand, it is completely excessive to have a digital vaccination passport and or testing PCR (molecular biological) colloquial "gurgling test" / living room tests "nasal swab tests" and also to register personal data.
This is to become necessary in 2021 even Outdoor("Schanigärten", pub garden) thus al fresco without mask in the fresh air:

From a data protection point of view, guest registration is highly questionable!

For me and many other people the lockdown and every change that has came so far since then have been a cruel cut in the social entity.
I know from my past places like the Viennese coffee house Bellaria in the 1st Viennese district that had to close in 2021 as a result of the lockdowns.
We have had an extreme amount of changes and hardly anyone can keep track of them.
So I appeal to those who read this and think to themselves "what does it matter?":
A small change that can be for the positive that there is again economic upswing for those who want to keep their privacy but still want to look into the gastronomy at times!
Whether it's a cold beer in midsummer, an (iced) coffee in the shade and an Austrian specialty that makes your mouth water, that we want to be able to enjoy without worrying about what could happen to my data in the meantime ...
Do you want this change too?
Then please sign, 500 signatures are my goal, that's twice as many as there are National Council members, and after all, it's our votes that made them the National Council members our representatives!
Stay safe and thanks for supporting us!
