Petícia je adresovaná: Health Technology Assessment international
The petition calls for the faster and more efficient implementation of modern health technologies through targeted implementation research. In order to achieve this goal, an Interest Group for Implementation Research is to be established at HTAi (Health Technology Assessment international) in co-operation with EuroScan int.net http://euroscan.org/. This group will focus on developing and globally promoting pragmatic strategies to accelerate the introduction of new technologies in the health sector.
Dôvody
With this group we will achieve:
- Faster access to innovations for patients: Many new healthcare technologies offer great advantages for patients, but are often only put into practice after a long delay. Targeted implementation research can identify and remove obstacles so that patients can benefit from innovations more quickly.
- Cost-efficient healthcare: According to the WHO (https://iris.who.int/bitstream/handle/10665/110523/9789241506960_Workbook_eng.pdf?sequence=3&isAllowed=y), the correct use of healthcare technologies can enable more effective and cost-effective healthcare. Delays in implementation often lead to higher costs and inefficient utilisation of existing resources.
- Global promotion of healthcare: Health innovations should not only be made available more quickly in individual countries, but worldwide. Especially in countries with limited resources, systematic implementation research can help to improve access to important medical technologies.
- Recognising implementation research as an essential part of the healthcare system: While the development of new technologies receives a lot of attention, their implementation in practice is often neglected. The call for a specialised Interest Group raises awareness of the need not only to create innovations, but also to ensure their successful application.

It is important to have research on implementation for health technologies that could leverage healthcare but fail in scaling up and adoption. It is also necessary to allocate the right resources to the best technologies.
Much needed with the explosion of technology, knowledge, and information.
Needed globally and not only in EU
I am working hard to introduce HTA to our community and to the the healthcare system in the UAE. IR could help translating research and innovation to practice to a great deal.
