In February 2019 a dream came true for me! The popular sneaker store 43einhalb hosted a photo contest among their followers to win a seat on their roadtrip to Flimby, England, where New Balance produces their „Made In England“ styles. To enter the contest people posted their favorite New Balance shots on Instagram and so did I. I could hardly believe my luck when an email confirmed I was one of the two winners.

So the 43einhalb crew, my fellow photo contest winner Stefan and myself hit the road for a breathtaking and unforgettable road trip. After we visited so many great places and saw so many beautiful landscapes we finally arrived in Flimby.

We visited the New Balance archives, talked to the super friendly staff and experienced the entire production process of the »Made in England« shoes. One shoe in particular.

Oliver, the co-founder of 43einhalb, got the chance to design his own colorway of the New Balance 1500 in advance and we were able to witness the finalization of the model on site.

The M150043EH »THE TRIP« is a homage to the entire road trip and the colors from the different environments from Frankfurt to Flimby.

Unfortunately there a only SIX PAIRS of this grail! And they are not for sale.

The feedback to our trip and specifically to the M150043EH »THE TRIP« is quite rightly tremendous! People love the concept, the story and the colorway! With me leading the way!

I’m absolutely convinced that lots of people would love to call the M150043EH »THE TRIP« their own and I hope to get New Balance to produce higher quantities of the colorway with this petition.
