Wie der Presse zu entnehmen ist, wurde im Senat von anonymer Seite ein Antrag zur Abwahl des Rektors der Universität Salzburg eingebracht. Wir distanzieren uns entschieden von dieser Vorgehensweise, die unserer Universität großen Schaden zufügt.

Wir wollen unsere Universität gemeinsam weiter entwickeln. Tradition, Erneuerung und Vielfalt schließen einander dabei nicht aus. Bei einer Reform lässt sich über Wege und Ziele streiten, nicht aber über unsere gemeinsame Verantwortung für unsere Universität und ihre Zukunft. Deshalb fordern wir die verantwortlichen Gremien der PLUS zu konstruktiver Debatte, zu transparenten Verfahren und zu professioneller und lösungsorientierter Vorgehensweise auf.

(As you may have heard in the Press, the University Senate has received an anonymous application to remove the current Rector from office. We distance ourselves from this process that has the potential to greatly damage our University.

We wish to advance our university together and believe that tradition, renewal and diversity are not mutually exclusive concepts. We can certainly disagree about the pathways and methods of reform, but not about our combined responsibility for the University and its future. We request the responsible committees of the University to debate in a constructive professional and transparent manner, with the goal of solving pertinent issues in the best way for the University)
