We call on Snapchat to restore filters and improve app performance for users in Pakistan.
Snapchat users in Pakistan have faced limited functionality, including disabled filters, slow features, and an overall sub-par experience compared to other regions. This has caused widespread frustration, particularly among content creators, youth, and small businesses who rely on these tools and people are using Snapchat Pro to solve these issue.
These limitations are not due to device issues but seem region-specific. Many users report full functionality when using VPNs or accessing Snapchat from other countries. This inequality creates an unfair digital experience for millions of Pakistani users.
We respectfully request Snapchat to:
- Restore all standard filters, including location-based and AR filters
- Optimize the app's speed and performance for Pakistani IPs
- Ensure equal access to global Snapchat features for all users, regardless of region
Digital inclusion matters. Snapchat should not create a two-tier system where users from some countries are denied essential tools. We urge Snapchat to uphold its commitment to global accessibility and treat all users fairly.
